WT DuBois and M Street Team Up Again!

WT DuBois Construction, a Commercial General Contractor, based out of Nashville, TN is thrilled to be doing the construction on the next up-and-coming M Street restaurant. The space will actually consist of two restaurants in one, Mexican and Italian, accompanied by an event space. Chris Hyndman, the brains behind the operation had this to say about the project, “This is really, really rare to find, not only in Nashville but anywhere, where you can have complete control of all of the retail space on one street and control all the parking and everything.  The ability to name it and direct the branding was completely in my control and not shared by other operators. That really prompted what became M Street.” Jim Caden, who is an owner of the M Street district, handles the real estate side of the business and works hand in hand with Chris.  WT DuBois enjoys projects like this because it offers a new breed of construction, creative and conceptual. This will be the fourth M Street project that WT DuBois will be involved in, including Virago, Kayne Prime, and Tavern.  Each restaurant carries a similar theme but each location has its own unique vibe.  WT DuBois is excited to begin construction on this project and help to bring this creative concept to fruition!

Chris Smith Feature: Superintendent of Quick Trip in Concord, NC!

Chris Smith, Superintendent, has been in construction for over 15 years and has been with WT DuBois for a little over a year.  Chris works out of our Charlotte, NC office and began heading up the Quick Trip project in Concord, NC shortly after being hired late last year, and is now wrapping it up. See the comments that our Vice President, Scott   Hinson, had to say about the project:
“I wanted to take a few minutes to express my appreciation for the hard work and extraordinary efforts of our QuikTrip Team led by Project Manager, Ryan Smigiel, and Superintendent, Chris Smith.  WT DuBois Construction was very fortunate to be included on the approved general contractor’s list for the QuikTrip convenience store expansion into the Carolinas about this time last year.  After coming close on a couple of early projects, we finally landed our first store in Concord, NC last October. Ryan took the project immediately upon being hired and hasn’t skipped a beat since.  His thoroughness and attention to detail has greatly impressed the management at QuikTrip.   Likewise, Chris managed his subcontractors efficiently and didn’t hesitate to push this project forward during some very difficult circumstances. I have a new respect for this type of construction.  Building fuel centers is as complicated as it gets due to the massive amount of underground utilities that most people never see.  These two guys handled the challenge without hesitation.

As a result of Ryan’s and Chris’s diligence in making sure QuikTrip remained satisfied with our product and performance, I’m proud to announce that we’ve officially been awarded our second QuikTrip project which will be located in Rock Hill, SC.  We start work this week, and I have no doubts that Ryan and Chris will turn out another quality project for QuikTrip and continue to promote the WT DuBois Construction brand going forward. Great job guys.  I’m very proud of all your hard work!”

We are proud of our team at WT DuBois and are happy to have a top notch Superintendent like Chris Smith on our side!

Brad Hooten, Superintendent!

Brad Hooten, Superintendent, is a new member of the WT DuBois Team, and we are so thankful to have found him! He has been in the construction industry all of his life, growing up around his granddad and dad who ran a residential construction company.  He loved it so much that when he graduated he continued working in construction, and eventually went on to build 72 homes by himself! Brad is already a favorite among those who know him. He is detailed, dependable, works hard, and always gives 100%.  We are so glad to have Brad with us!
